Bongo District Assembly led by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Ayinbisa Peter Ayamga presented some assorted items to the both the District Health Management Team and the District Hospital to support their fight against COVID 19.
The items which formed the first batch of assorted items included the following:
✓ 100 Veronica buckets
✓ 100 metal stands
✓200 hand sanitizers
✓100 liquid soap
✓2 boxes of mouth masks
✓ 20 roles of tissue paper
✓ 10 thermometers ( gun)
These items are funded purely with resources of the Bongo District Assembly. The rest of the items will be shared among the various markets and lorry Parks throughout the District next week.
Management of the Assembly is hopeful that this presentation will go a long way to support the Health Directorate to contain the spread of the virus in our Country.
I also want to use this opportunity to appeal to Bongo citizens within and without to support the District in this trying times. For instance, a little donation to your Community CHPS facility will be appreciated.
Our development partners and other benevolent organizations are also called upon to step with any assistance they can afford. The Bongo situation is more particular because the district shares boundary with Burkina Faso and that Country is also hit with the pandemic.
